Terms of Service

Last updated: May 8, 2026

Welcome to CardioBoards (“the Service”). By creating an account or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Educational use only — not medical advice

CardioBoards is an educational study tool for trainees and clinicians preparing for cardiology board examinations. Content on the Service is provided for general educational purposes only. It is not medical advice, does not establish a physician-patient relationship, and must not be used to diagnose or treat any patient. Always rely on current guidelines, primary literature, and your own clinical judgment when caring for patients.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Copy, scrape, redistribute, sell, or sublicense the Service’s content;
  • Reverse engineer, probe, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure;
  • Use the Service to harass, defraud, or violate the rights of others;
  • Use automated tools to access the Service except as expressly permitted.

4. Content and intellectual property

All content on the Service — including readings, questions, cases, explanations, design, and code — is owned by CardioBoards or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own study. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.

5. Beta and changes

The Service is in active development. Features, content, and pricing may change without notice. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content is accurate, complete, or up-to-date with the latest guidelines. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CardioBoards and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $50, whichever is greater.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause or notice. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will do so.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
